Dare Decor operates in the heart of the Carolina boat building in Manteo & Wanchese, North Carolina. With over fifty high-end sportfishing boats being produced at any given time within ten miles of our offices, Dare Decor has the opportunity to work directly with these world class craftsmen. Through our own love of boating and fishing, we have been fortunate to forge lifelong relationships with many of these local boat builders. Teresa Hutchins
Teresa Hutchins is Dare Decors' CEO and driving force - ensuring all projects meet her high expectation of quality. Teresa is a Nationally accredited designer whose work has been displayed and featured at the highly acclaimed Virginia Museum in Richmond, Virginia. Mrs. Hutchins has been involved with sportfish and pleasure yacht interiors since 1988. Teresa and her husband Steve have fished all over the globe and hold multiple fishing records for their efforts. The Hutchins hold the record for catching seven Blue Marlin in one day in Bermuda during the early 90's on their custom Carolina (Omie Tillet), Temptation. Teresa holds twenty nine world records herself, including Blue Marlin, Bluefin Tuna and various other pelagic species-many on fly. In short, Teresa knows what can work and what can't when it comes to "living" with the interior of a world class sportfishing yacht.

Rene Basnight
Rene Basnight, Administrative Assistant, grew up in Wanchese, North Carolina and comes from a long line of commercial as well as sport fishermen. Rene is well versed in dealing with the public through her service for one of the areas largest yacht clubs as well as her background in Outer Banks Real Estate Sales. Rene's most recent position was running the administrative side of the area's largest "New Build" yacht construction. Her attention to detail, "Can-Do" attitude and experience make Rene an asset to any project she works on.
